ABOUT

Archie Wardlaw is a contemporary painter specialising in portraiture, landscapes and still life paintings. Having first studied Classics and Philosophy with Mandarin at the University of Exeter he trained for five years in the Classical Atelier method at London Fine Art Studios where he then went to teach over a period of 6 years. Archie’s breadth of subject matter is explored with the same fascination for capturing light and through that observation understanding both people and place.

Archie is represented by fine art agent Portfolio London for commissioned work. He also exhibits landscape and still life paintings regularly with group shows such as the Royal Institute of Oil painters and the Russell Gallery as well as solo exhibitions.
